Vulnerability Insight: The flaw exists because when the application looks to load a DLL for execution, an attacker can provide a malicious DLL to use instead. The vulnerability can be exploited by a simple file write (or potentially an over-write) which results in a foreign DLL running under the application. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation allows a local attackers to gain elevated privileges and execute arbitrary code on the vulnerable system.
