Descripción: | Summary: Syntax Desktop is prone to a directory traversal vulnerability. Vulnerability Insight: This flaw is due to error in file 'preview.php' in 'synTarget' parameter which lets the attacker to gain information through directory traversal queries. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will let the attacker gain sensitive information about the remote system directories where syntax desktop runs. Affected Software/OS: Syntax Desktop 2.7 and prior Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
