Description: | Summary: Junos OS is prone to a denial of service vulnerability in RPD due to malformed BGP OPEN message. Vulnerability Insight: Receipt of a malformed BGP OPEN message may cause the routing protocol daemon (rpd) process to crash and restart. By continuously sending specially crafted BGP OPEN message packets, an attacker can repetitively crash the rpd process causing prolonged denial of service. Affected Software/OS: This issue affects Junos OS 12.3, 13.3, 14.1, 14.2 and 15.1. Solution: New builds of Junos OS software are available from Juniper.
