Title: | Source Routed Packets |
Summary: | The remote host accepts loose source routed IP packets.; The feature was designed for testing purpose. |
Description: | Summary: The remote host accepts loose source routed IP packets. The feature was designed for testing purpose. Vulnerability Impact: An attacker may use it to circumvent poorly designed IP filtering and exploit another flaw. However, it is not dangerous by itself. Worse, the remote host reverses the route when it answers to loose source routed TCP packets. This makes attacks easier. Solution: Drop source routed packets on this host or on other ingress routers or firewalls. CVSS Score: 3.3 CVSS Vector: AV:L/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:P |
