PHPNews version 1.2.3 suffers from a flaw in auth.php that
allows an attacker to inject arbitrary PHP code into your
web server, allowing him to perform pretty much any
action he wants in the context of the webserver.
In addition, any file can be disclosed on the remote
system, even without performing a code injection attack.

Solution: Upgrade to version 1.2.4 or later.
