'High-risk' vulnerability detected in over 33% of networks audited to date, according to Internet security and online service consulting firm

Toronto, ON - June 3, 2002 - Soltrus Inc., a national provider of digital trust services, today announced a partnership with E-Soft Inc., a privately owned Internet security consulting firm, to integrate free online security audits into Soltrus digital certificate service offerings. Conducted remotely, these audits are automated and designed to both identify up to 930 potential security risks as well as determine the most appropriate corrective measures. The result is that businesses can immediately identify and correct potential network and server vulnerabilities.

While the E-Soft security auditing service is one of the most comprehensive vulnerability test suites available in Canada, it operates as a turnkey diagnostic solution that does not require any downloads or installations. Vulnerability tests, updated continuously, include examinations for Windows based attacks, denial of service attacks, root exploits, CGI abuses, mail server exposure, and firewall weaknesses, among others. As well, detailed reports outlining weaknesses and suggesting solutions are provided to Soltrus' customers at no charge.
