The following tables illustrates the usage of web authoring tools on the web. The tool is determined by examining the web page meta tag 'generator'. Readers are cautioned that not all authoring packages insert their name in this meta tag, and as such may not be picked up in this survey.
The March survey is based on a sample size of 36,270,008 pages downloaded from 2,923,613 sites. We detected authoring tool usage on 428,065 sites (14.64% of all sites visited).
